The step-up tub and box light are very typical for homes built in the 1990s. To update this bathroom, our team removed the tiled-in tub with stairs along with the divider wall between the tub and shower and replaced the box light with recessed LED can lights. The lighting in this room is so much brighter! Often in older homes, rooms were very compartmentalized, but with the current trend of open concept, it’s preferred to incorporate more open space into the design. Removing the divider shower wall not only allowed for more light and visual interested from the shower tile but our team was able to enlarge the shower area. The old tub was replaced with a beautiful free standing tub with angled back for extra comfort. The vanity was replaced with a new furniture style vanity.
