We love how this kitchenCRATE Custom project at Michigan Avenue turned out. Not only is the design updated and modern, but this kitchen now has much better functionality, storage and use of space. When looking at the “before” photos, many of the appliances did not have a “dedicated” home for them. Both the oven and the refrigerator and the oven looked like they were just plopped-in on the sides. To solve this issue, we moved the exterior window above the sink to the left to make room for the new fridge home. We moved the oven to the center of the wall to allow for extra cabinetry to be build and countertops to allow for more cooking prep surface. A feature I really enjoy about the custom cabinets is how we were able to wrap around the corner of the kitchen to allow for permanent desk space and install cabinetry pull-outs. Plus, the new mudroom space is such a great addition! Such a great transformation!
