Hey there, Scott Monday with Kitchen and Bath Crate. Now recently, we talked with you about the top five kitchen crates of 2019, and today we bring you the top five bath crates of 2019. We can’t wait to show you these amazing projects, so let’s jump right in.

Now, the first project is Bath Crate Via Giardiano 2 in Modesto, BC Via Giardiano II. Now, this is our second bath crate on this home and our third project for this particular customer. Now let’s take a look at the way this project turned out. The first thing you’ll probably notice is the full overlay stained maple vanity, just a beautiful piece of custom cabinetry that plays really well against the leathered quartz countertop. Now, leather just means it has more of a matte-textured finish as opposed to a high-polished finish on this vanity top.

Next, as we pan around, you’ll see a freestanding tub, really beautifully sized for this particular space, both looks delicate but also a really cool design feature. And then next to that is the roll-in shower. Now, that simply means there’s no shower curb; you simply walk right into the shower. And as you can see, it’s enclosed with a glass block wall. Now, as we pivot around, you’ll see that we have a sliding barn door for the closet, a really neat design feature. And then lastly, you’ll notice this amazing floor. This is a sliced pebble floor, and it runs throughout the entire bathroom area.

Next up, coming in at number four is Bath BC, Mt. Hamilton Drive, Crate Mt. Hamilton Drive in Antioch. Now, this is a master bathroom, but a little smaller in size. But what I really liked that we did on this project is something a lot of customers are asking for, and that’s a conversion of a tub shower combination into a shower. So let’s start at the shower area. You’re going to see that obviously the tub is gone; it’s a very spacious new shower area with a large format field tile. Inside the shower niche, you’ll see some marble accent. And what that brings us to is the vanity area.

The vanity has a new freestanding vanity with a marble top and marble backsplash. And so what our design team really likes to do is introduce those colors between the shower area and the vanity area just to tie the overall design together. This is a great example of a cool color palette. And once again, we just love the way this bath crate came together.

All right, next up is one of my favorite BC Walnut Woods Drive projects of the year. This is Bath Crate Walnut Woods Drive in Modesto. Now, this project has a ton of character. In fact, it was one of our most commented-upon projects of the entire year on social media. And you’re going to see why there are some really bold color choices made here, and when you see it all come together, I just love the way this turned out. So let’s start with the vanity. This is a custom walnut vanity; you’ll notice there’s no cabinet hardware. The reason for that is there’s all push-to-open functionality on this cabinet, allowing us to completely avoid any type of exposed hardware on the vanity area. Super tight reveals on the doors and drawer faces really bring that custom vanity together. All of the fixtures on this job are golden champagne brass fixtures, and you’ll notice the introduction of pink in this project. So you’re going to see a pink sink; you’re going to see pink tile on the wall behind the vanity and also a new tub with pink tile surround. And once again, that same type of champagne brass fixture. It’s all brought together with a floor tile of a gray hexagon with sunburst accent. Once again, super bold project; love the way it turned out. It was a lot of fun to work on this job.

Coming in at number two for our top BC Renee Avenue bathrooms of 2019 is Bath Crate Renee Avenue in Tracy. Now, this is a very customized master bathroom, and you’ll notice that one of the biggest changes is the fact that the shower and even the vanity area used to be pretty enclosed with walls and soffits, and now it’s completely opened up to create a beautiful new space.

Right when you walk into this bathroom, the first thing you’re going to notice is the freestanding tub with a centered tub fill. It has a beautiful tile wainscote behind it, and it flows really well into the custom shower area right next to it. Adjacent to that is one of the two new custom vanities. Now, a really nice thing about custom cabinets is they can be designed exactly for the use of the customer. In this particular project, we have one vanity area where one of the two customers wanted more of a makeup area for functionality. And across the room on the other side is a vanity with a tower element that allows for the storage that the other customer wanted. Once again, a great way to customize a project is to create cabinetry that meets your exact needs. This is all brought together over a beautiful tile floor, turning this bath crate into one of our top projects of 2019.

All right, now the big reveal. Our number BC Charleston Avenue one bath crate project of 2019 is Bath Crate Charleston Avenue in Modesto. Now, this project is the definition of small and mighty. It was a space that wasn’t really functional before we got there, and now it’s a gorgeous area for this customer to use. Once again, we have a project where we converted a tub to a shower area. In this case, it wasn’t even a tub shower before; it was just a tub. So just that change in functionality made a huge difference. The Chloe white shower tile works really well with the niche material. And then also on the floor of the shower, there’s this really cool penny round floor with a disappearing drain. All that means is that the floor tile is constructed in such a way that the drain is hardly noticeable.

Now, as we pivot around, you’re going to see a new custom vanity in this really rich blue color, and on top of that, the countertop with champagne faucet and fixtures in this particular project. And then it’s all over the top of wood-simulated tile floor. So once again, a small amount of square footage, but just a beautiful project, really changing the function, use, and look of this particular space. So those are our top five bath crates of 2019.
