Each door and drawer features a Shaker style with a 45-degree inside bevel, creating clean lines and classic character. The ½-overlay frame style maintains just enough trim exposure to preserve a traditional look, while modern updates—like Blum Euro soft-close hinges and ball-bearing drawer glides—bring smooth performance to everyday use.
The two-tone paint scheme adds depth and personality to the space:
- Cabinet Paint #1 – Sherwin-Williams SW 7004 “Snow Bound” for the main cabinetry
- Cabinet Paint #2 – Sherwin-Williams SW 9178 “In the Navy” for accent areas, including the coffee bar and peninsula

To complete the cabinetry, the CRATE team added Amerock Westerly hardware in Golden Champagne, including:

At the heart of the kitchen sits the stunning Bedrosians Calacatta Milan polished quartz slab, selected for its striking marble-like veining and durable finish. The countertops were fabricated with:
- 2 cm thickness
- 2″ mitered eased edge
- Polished finish
- Waterfall edge at the end of the peninsula
This sleek, mitered waterfall design creates a seamless visual flow from the countertop down to the floor, adding a bold architectural statement. The new countertop window sill, crafted from the same Calacatta Milan material, ties the space together with consistency and elegance.
Tile and Backsplash
The backsplash was another major design upgrade that instantly brightened the room. The homeowners chose a combination of Bedrosians Celine 2″ x 6″ white gloss tile for the main field and a show-stopping Bedrosians Ferrara Chevron Mix Mosaic with brass in Bianco for accent areas.

- New refrigerator – sized precisely for the existing cabinetry open (supplied by the homeowners)
- Updated double oven and cooktop to match the new micro-oven configuration, including a rebuilt drawer box to ensure a seamless fit (supplied by the homeowners)
- Dishwasher retained and reused after inspection for quality and compatibility (supplied by the homeowners)

- Apron Sink Modification: Cabinet structure adjusted for proper fit and alignment of the Kohler Whitehaven.
- Seeded Glass Doors: Installed on both sides of the sink for a refined, semi-transparent aesthetic.
- Wood Window Sill Replacement: Swapped for matching countertop material to maintain continuity.
