To bring these cabinets into the modern era, the kitchen & bath CRATE team expertly refinished them with Sherwin-Williams Chatroom (SW 6171), a warm, sophisticated shade that elevates the entire room’s ambiance.
Regarding the hardware for the cabinets, the homeowners decided to go with the Amerock Blackrock Cabinet Pull in Black Bronze. These pulls pair nicely with the rest of the matte black fixtures the homeowners chose for the space and add a little bit of a moden touch with their sharp-edged shape.
Paired with updated hardware and a refreshed surrounding design, the revitalized cabinetry seamlessly complements the bathroom’s new look while respecting the home’s original character.
A Warm, Natural Touch with “Desert Canyon” Countertops
One of the most striking transformations in this Livermore bathroom remodel is the new countertop selection. The homeowners chose Desert Canyon Granite countertops from Arizona Tile—an elegant and earthy surface that brings both functionality and timeless style into the room. The subtle veining and warm, neutral tones of Desert Canyon beautifully complement the room’s overall color palette while offering a durable, low-maintenance option for daily use.

Seamless Style Meets Function: Sink, Tub, and Fixtures
To complement the quartz countertops, the remodel features sleek Kohler Caxton undermount sinks, offering a minimalist look with practical ease of use. These sinks blend seamlessly into the countertop and make cleaning a breeze. The white ceramic finish matches the crisp white countertop, further emphasizing the remodel’s modern, cohesive aesthetic.
In addition to the sinks, the homeowners decided to add two new Delta Kayra Widespread Faucets in Matte Black. The decision to go with matte black fixtures helped tie the beautiful Desert Canyon Granite in with the white sinks to enhance the contrast of the space.
The homeowners chose to go with the Kohler Underscore 60″ Undermount Acrylic Tub in White to match the sinks and provide a pop of brightness in the bathroom. This spacious and luxurious tub uses acrylic for a lighter weight yet more durable finish.
The Delta Kayra system was also implemented in the tub and shower to create a cohesive design throughout the space. The shower uses the Delta Kyra Monitor 17 Series Shower Trim in Matte Black while the tub uses the Delta Kyra Roman Tub Set in Matte Black. These choices help combine functionality with a luxurious feel in the new space.
Lastly, a Kohler 26″ Mirrored Medicine Cabinet was installed to help keep the space tidy for additional storage.
Shower and Bath Tile: Neutral Elegance
The shower space is truly the highlight of this Livermore bathroom remodel. The walls feature Reside Beige Tiles from Arizona Tile in a 12″ x 24″ dimension installed in a horizontal offset waterfall pattern. These tiles bring a slight reflective sheen that adds depth and visual expansion to the shower enclosure.
For the shower floor and niche, the homeowners opted for Arizona Tile Reside Brown 2″ x 2″ tiles. The darker brown color helps provide some contrast to the space that pairs well with the intricate earthy tones of the countertop.
As far as added features go, the homeowners also chose to include a built-in shower bench and a large 30″ x 16″ niche for storage and practicality.
Lighting, Mirrors, and Glass: Decorative and Functional
Above the new vanity area, the homeowners chose to supply their own, existing light fixtures and mirrors that match the new bathroom’s aesthetic. Trim lights in a Soft White Glow of 3000k were also added at the homeowners’ request.
The shower was outfitted with new, frameless, clear glass with matching matte black hardware from Don’s to finalize the space, tying everything together.
Paint: Dunn-Edwards Whisper
To finish everything off, the walls were painted with Sherwin-Williams Realest Beige (SW 6078) in an eggshell finish, the cabinets were painted Sherwin-Williams Chatroom (SW 6171) in a semi-gloss finish, and the ceiling was painted in Sherwin-Williams Greek Villa (SW 7551) in a flat finish. This soft beige color-palette is great for its ability to reflect natural light and make spaces feel more expansive.
