Bathroom Remodel Timeline
(Note: We added a few extra days to our normal 7-day process to accommodate the owner-request add-ons.)
Day 1 – Demo Day! On this first day, we set up plastic walls to protect the home from dust, protected the path from the entry door to the bathroom with building paper, and then went to town removing the countertops, backsplash, vanity, shower tile, and flooring. Toward the end of the day, we created the template for the new quartz countertops, which take a few days to fabricate off-site.
Days 2 & 3 – The electrical team began the wiring for the new LED recessed lighting while a new shower valve was installed at the shower and the new Kohler Underscore bathtub was installed.
Day 4 – The bathCRATE team was back on site to patch and repair the sheetrock.
Day 5 – All of the walls and ceiling in the bathroom were painted. Kelly-Moore Smoky Day with a satin finish was applied to the walls and Kelly-Moore Bone was applied to the ceiling.
Days 6, 7, & 8 – The tile artisans were on site to install tile at the shower and bathtub. Bedrosians Runway 12″ x 24″ Taupe porcelain tiles were installed at the tub surround and on the shower walls with an accent strip of Bedrosians Manhattan Glass Soho mosaic tiles and Bedrosians Runway Taupe mosaic tiles on the shower floor. The shower tile was grouted using Laticrete Dusty Grey grout. MSI Shadow Gray quartz was also installed at the tub deck.
Days 9, 10, & 11 – The flooring experts arrived to install the Bedrosians Officine Gothic 12″ x 24″ porcelain tiles. The flooring was grouted using Laticrete Raven grout.
Days 12 & 13 – The transformation hit the homestretch with the installation of the new vanity, the Signature Hardware Flair Collection sink and roman tub faucets, Holden shower fixtures, mirror, accessories and the new shower door. After the final items were installed the entire project was cleaned, top-to-bottom.
