Why go visit a spa when you can have a spa in your own home? From the mosaic pebbled floor to the large bronze-colored shower tiles to the rich granite countertop on the custom vanity, this bathCRATE looks both flawless and relaxing. The custom vanity paired with the granite remnant and mirror is quite the show-stopper. In the pictures below, you’ll also notice that the old linen closet was removed and custom exposed shelving was put there instead. With the new shelving, those guests that use the shower now have somewhere to put their clothes and belongings. A bathroom that is both beautiful and functional is pretty much as close to perfection as you can get.

Bathroom Remodel Day to Day Progress
(Note: We added a few extra days to our normal 7-day process to accommodate the owner-request add-ons.)
Day 1 – Demo Day! On this first day, we set up plastic walls to protect the home from dust, protected the path from the entry door to the bathroom with building paper, and then went to town removing the countertops, backsplash, vanity, shower and bath tile, the bathtub and the flooring. On this first day, we installed the new custom made vanity.
Days 2 & 3 – The electrical team began the wiring for the new lighting and the new shower head valves were installed. The team also removed the old closed linen cabinet and created a new open built-in shelving unit.
Days 4 & 5 – The bathCRATE team was back on site to patch and repair the sheetrock and the shower pan liner was installed.
Days 6, 7, & 8 – The tile artisans were on site to install the shower tile. Bedrosians Blende 24″ x 48″ ceramic tiles in Titan were installed on the shower walls and Bedrosians Acadia Mosaic tile in Isleford Copper was used as an accent tile. The shower floor was tiled using Bedrosians Hemisphere Pebble Mosiac in Kona Sands and the entire shower was grouted using Bostik Summer Wheat grout.
Days 9, 10 & 11 – The countertop installation team arrived to install the Kohler Archer Undermount sink in Sandbar and the granite countertop with a small radius edge. The same granite countertop was used to create a 6: backsplash. The flooring team was also on site to install the new flooring. Bedrosians Hemisphere Pebble Mosiac in Kona Sands was installed throughout the bathroom. Meanwhile, the tile artisans created a beautiful accent wall by adding the same tile used in the shower to the newly opened alcove that was created when removing the linen cabinet.
Day 12 – All of the walls and ceiling in the bathroom were painted to match the homeowner’s existing colors using the highest quality Kelly-Moore paints.
Day 13 – The light and plumbing fixtures were installed. A Kohler Alteo single handle faucet at the sink and a Kohler Alteo shower trim in the shower, both with oil rubbed bronze finishes. In addition a new frameless custom shower screen was installed in the shower.
Day 14– The transformation hit the homestretch with the installation of the freshly stained shaker style cabinet doors and drawers. The mirrors and accessories were installed and the bathroom was cleaned of all construction debris and dust.
