This kitchenCRATE Custom turned out amazing! By removing the dreary, dark cabinets and replacing them with custom, locally-crafted cabinets, we were able to transform the space both functionally and aesthetically! We eliminated the uppers over the peninsula and instead went back with upper cabinets that wrapped the corner of the wall. This opened up the sight-line from the kitchen to the living room and offered more practical storage over the new nook area. Another key functional difference is the new countertop space left and right of the range. In the before pictures, you’ll notice the homeowners simply had a few inches of space to place and prep things; however, in the new kitchen configuration, there’s significantly more counter space! We absolutely love how the beautiful white Picket Fence paint color by Kelly-Moore brightens this kitchen up! Perhaps our favorite design feature of this new kitchen is the beautiful quartz countertop. This Bedrosians Sequel Tallavida quartz simulates a natural stone in the look and feel, but provides the durability of quartz! The grey backsplash offers the perfect contrast to the white cabinets and pulls out the warm hues in the countertop. We’re thrilled with this transformation and so are the homeowners! What was your favorite part of the kitchenCRATE process?
Our favorite part of this process was the fact that the project was on schedule the entire time, and that we were kept up to date by Doug. We always knew what was next, time frames, etc.
What was your favorite part about the kitchenCRATE team?
Our favorite part of the CRATE team was their professionalism, friendliness, and the excellent work that was done. They also cleaned up daily and it was so great to come home a clean area during the construction.
Was there anything about the process or project that surprised you? If so, what was it?
I think we were surprised that everything was on schedule exactly as promised. We had heard stories of projects from other companies taking months and months to renovate a kitchen so we were thrilled to have it done in the month that was promised.
What way, or ways, could we have better served you? (Please be brutally honest, this is the only way we will get better as a company!)
We can’t really think of any way this could have been better. Every person we talk to about the remodel we tell them how amazing it looks and sings your praises about the process! I would (and have) highly recommended your team to anyone!
