What a transformation! This U-shaped kitchen layout witnessed quite the overhaul in just 16 days! This kitchen features all new custom cabinetry built by Central Valley Millworks right here in Modesto. While the footprint closely resembles the prior layout, the functionality and design are radically different. A few of the functional cabinetry highlights include: a full-height spice rack right of the range, a trash pull out left of the range, wine racks in the upper pantry cabinet, and 2 kessebohmers (modified lazy susans) located left of the sink! Also, we eliminated the elevated bar-top, which opens the sight-line from the kitchen space into the dining room while preserving cabinet space by maintaining the upper cabinets. In order to eliminate dead space and increase usage, we added a cut out at the back of the pony wall with a door that allows access when hosting in the dining room.
The new painted cabinets brighten up the space, and the beautiful quartz countertops serve as the perfect complement with their subtle movement and warmer tones. The 2″x10″ certamic tile backsplash mimics a stone-look and the accent tile adds a perfect design element.
