For this particular home, the kitchen is adjacent to the family room and dining room in the center of the home. With the kitchen now renovated, not only does the kitchen have a completely new look and feel, but the adjacent areas of the home look much more updated too! We love the new flooring that was installed throughout these rooms!
This kitchen had a few minor cabinetry updates that made such a big difference. First, we lowered the bar top behind the stove to give the kitchen more counter space and to open it up more towards the rest of the home. Next, we gave the microwave a new home by modifying the old oven cabinet to house the microwave oven. Another convenient cabinet modification was a new spice rack was installed next to the stove. Lastly, we extended the cabinetry and countertop an extra bay to provide this kitchen with more storage (just look to the right of the dishwasher in this picture). All of the cabinets were refinished with Kelly Moore’s Not My Fault paint which was also used on the laundry room cabinetry and family room cabinetry (not pictured). Don’t forget to take a close look at the backsplash! This modern backsplash tile compliments the color of the cabinets with the tones in the countertop to offer a unique, cohesive look.
