custom bathroom remodel.

Do you have a tub in your hallway bathroom that isn’t getting much use? Does trying to fit your shampoo and conditioner bottles in the corners sound all too familiar? That was the issue these homeowners faced and decided to do something about it. Taking out the tub and replacing it with a shower provided not only functionality but elegance to this bathroom. New lighting, new paint, and new bathroom accessories really brought a whole new life to this space.

Wouldn’t you agree?

But don’t just take our word on how well this bathroom renovation in Los Banos turned out.  Look below for the project specifications and extensive before and after pictures!

Day to Day Remodeling Timeline

(Note: We added a few extra days to our normal 7-day process to accommodate the owner-request add-ons.)

Day 1 – Demo Day!  On this first day, we set up plastic walls to protect the home from dust, protected the path from the entry door to the bathroom with building paper, and then went to town removing the countertops, backsplash, vanity, shower and bath tile, the bathtub and the flooring.

Days 2 –  The electrical team began the wiring for the new lighting while the plumbing at the shower/tub was reconfigured for the new walk-in shower.

Day 3 – The bathCRATE team was back on site to patch and repair the sheetrock and the shower pan liner was installed.

Day 4– All of the walls and ceiling in the bathroom were painted. Kelly-Moore Urban Bird with a semi-gloss finish was applied to the walls and the ceiling was painted in Kelly-Moore Swiss Coffee.

Day 5,6 & 7– The tile artisans were on site to install the shower tile. Bedrosians Alabaster 12″ x 24″ runway tiles were installed on the shower walls and Bedrosians Alabaster runway mosaic tiles were installed at the shower floor. The shower wall tile was grouted using Ardex Sugar Cookie grout.

Days 8 & 9 – The flooring team was on site to install the new flooring. Bedrosians Tribeca Watts 12″ x 24″ porcelain tile flooring was installed throughout the bathroom. The countertop installation team arrived to install the Kohler Archer undermount sink in White and the MSI Sparkling White quartz with a mitered edge.

Day 10 & 11– The transformation hit the homestretch with the installation of the new Pfister Pasadena widespread faucets and the Pfister Arkitek shower trim.

Day 12– The final day of the project included an array of “touch-up” items: all outlets and switches were replaced, the mirrors, accessories and new framed glass shower doors were installed, and the bathroom was cleaned of all construction debris and dust.
